First, thank you for just taking the time to consider being a guest at one of our cottages!  I’d like to take a moment to give you a quick review of Flora Bella Cottages.

About Flora Bella Garden Cottages:
Flora Bella Cottages are charming, cozy cottages located in West Los Angeles, California. Built in the 40’s they are the quintessential California bungalow often found along the seaside. They provide a sense of balance and pleasantness enabling one to escape the everyday. These are private residences.  Once here, it’s easy to forget birds don’t exist everywhere.  They sure love Flora Bella Cottages, however. There are multiple cottages on the property, each with their own private front and back gardens and various amenities.  Each cottage is handcrafted with details no longer readily available with modern houses.

Flora Bella Garden Cottages offer an escape and quiet retreat from hectic Los Angeles.  Awaken to the fragrance of the lovely organic flowers at the entrance to the doors or the heavenly aroma of gardenia and jasmine flowers.  Breakfast while overlooking the back garden or better yet, spend a little time in the back garden as you begin your day.

The gardens include a wonderful array of visual and sensory delights from various types of flowering vines, roses, antique and heirloom flowers, an assortment of fascinating edibles as well as fruit trees.

The cottages contain air freshener that some may be sensitive to. As well, the gardens are filled with the aroma of naturally fragrant flowers which produce significant pollen.  If you are sensitive to flowers, this is not the best choice given the multitude of flowers around the entire perimeter of the property.

The Location:
The Beverlywood area is considered one of the city’s best hidden gems.  Although nestled in the middle of the city, many locals don’t even realize it exists.  Depending on your destination, it could be just steps from the place you need to get to.

Reserving a Cottage:
Precise address provided once booking is confirmed.  Reservations are held for a maximum of 12 hours and promptly canceled if  not paid.  Bookings are confirmed only once payment is made.  We are unable to reserve longer than 24 hours from the time a request is made in order to accommodate other inquiries.

Places to Visit:
We are just minutes away from some of the most fantastic places be it eateries on restaurant row, trendy dining spots, chic boutiques, hiking in the mountains or swimming on the beach.

Steps Away:
Luckily, Los Angeles comprises a multitude of interesting places.  Here are just a few of my favorites:

Café:

  • Verve on Melrose
    (absolutely the place for the best cappuccino in LA & great people!)
  • Alfred’s Kitchen and Coffee
    (good place for a nice cup of java; hipster village with long lines; go on a Sunday then head over to the farmer’s market directly outside their door.

Eat, Drink & Be Merry:

  • Taste on Melrose

Open Air Farmer’s Markets:

      • Beverlywood Farmer’s Market (small but efficient)
      • Hollywood Farmer’s Market (plan to spend a few hours as this one is a treasure)
      • Santa Monica Farmer’s Market (large, fun and right by the ocean so stay there then go to the beach)

Beach:

  • Venice Beach
    (surf, biking and rollerblading some of my fav things to do each week)
  • Santa Monica Pier
    (site seeing trap but interesting place to gather trinkets)
